Web 2.0 Marketing Specialist and Community Manager

Dimdim is the world's only free, open source web meeting company. Dimdim provides a hosted web conferencing service where up to 20 people can share their desktop, show documents and slides, collaborate, chat, talk and broadcast via webcam with absolutely no download required – all for free. Dimdim also offers more powerful versions that can support hundreds and even thousands of attendees per meeting while saving money, time and CO2 emissions. Dimdim is backed by the original investors in Skype, Hotmail, and MySQL. Dimdim is based in Boston, Mass., with offices in New Hampshire, Canada and India.

Job Profile:
We’re looking for a world-class Web 2.0 marketing expert to work with Dimdim’s growing marketing and sales team to change the world. We need someone who lives and breathes the web and knows how to generate interest in our new web-based software product by going into an existing marketing. This is a hands-on position in the Boston area and you need to be absolutely customer focused and outbound driven. You will start as a hands-on marketing person and part of a virtual team. This is a very visible position and requires the person to work independently.

Qualifications:

  • Three plus years experience in marketing a software product.
  • Prior startup experience is desirable.
  • Prior startup experience is desirable.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in commerce or engineering or marketing or equivalent is required and Master’s of Business Administration in Marketing is preferred. Those holding additional qualifications within either Computer Science or Information Technology discipline will be at an advantage.

Required Skills:

  •  SEO/SEM skills.
  •  Google Adwords/Adsense experience.
  •  Excellent communications, interpersonal, presentation, negotiation and organizational skills.
  •  Strong Computer Skills & Analytical Mind with a problem-solving style.
  •  Ability to foster effective team work and think strategically as well as tactically, while continually seeking service delivery efficiencies.
